When I make an Exclusive Portrait in Commission, or Customize Art I usually follow these five steps.
Through e-mail you can contact me for an artwork in commission or a customizing order of one of my already existing artwork. In this first contact you can send me your personal preferences for an artwork, like the style of the work, the pose of the subject and the colorscheme. Also you can specify how the final artwork should be printed, on what material, which size and which finish. Framed or unframed.
With all your preferences and whishes in the back of my mind, I make a first Quotation. This is a Quotation for the final artwork to be made, send and delivered. In the Quotation all costs are incuded, from materials, VAT, shipment etcetera. You can already have an original and exclusive customized portrait on art paper from your favourite subject for as little as Euro 2,000.- all in. In this stage you can either aprove or disapprove the quotation by e-mail. If all parties agree on the quotation, your approval of the quotation must be sent to me by e-mail. With your acceptance of the quotation you also agree with the general terms and conditions of Go_Horsepaintings. So much for the boring legal stuff, on to step 3.
With your approval e-mail you enclose three or more pictures of the subject to be portrayed. I generally would like to see the subject from different angels, close-up and in full view. Also a photo with the right pose of the subject needs to be enclosed, as a starting point for the final portrait. Furthermore You can refer to any characteristics you would like to see in the final artwork. With these different photos and character descriptions I can get a good feel for my subject. With the photos and preferences in the back of my mind, I further work out the portrait.
The final Artwork will be presented to you through an Art-Proposal, which will be send to you via e-mail. In this Art-Proposal You will find an image of the fully customized portrait which is ready for printing. If you still have any hesitations or alterations now is the time to point them out. Up till here everything is still No-Cure-No-Pay. After you fully agree with my final Art-proposal, I will send you an invoice which needs to be paid in full. The invoice can be paid through PayPal or by banktransfer. After receiving your payment I will commence with the actual manufacturing process of the Artwork.
Within the timeframe stated in the final Art-proposal (usually within 2 weeks) and given the invoice has been paid in full, the Artwork will be delivered to your doorstep and you will be able to enjoy my Exclusive Artwork.
No Cure No Pay.
I paint the person or animal, as I think it is best. I use my artistical freedom as a visual artist, and am not willing to compromise too much in this field.
That is also the reason why I work with a No-Cure-No-Pay-method concerning my artwork in commission. If you absolutely do not like the artwork I made, you are not required to take the product of off me. I than reserve the right to sell the work otherwise. Once the actual Artwork has been delivered to you, there ofcourse can no longer be a no-cure-no-pay principle. So you can cancel the commissioned Artwork free of chargeuntil step 4, by rejecting the final art-proposal indefinitely.
You can pay me via PayPal or by a banktransfer in advance of delivery. For further delivery and payment details I refer to the terms and conditions.
If you are interested in an unique and exclusive portrait of your beloved, horse or pet. Or you want to purchase an original work of art from me, please contact me through the contact page.
